Privacy Policy

We keep your data to a minimum and keep your phone number private. This explains what we collect and why, in line with Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act, 2022.
1. What we collect
From your Google account: your name, email address and profile photo.
From you: your role (owner or agent), optional phone and WhatsApp numbers, an agent bio, listings with photos, video, price, location and directions, messages, saved homes, reviews and reports.
Automatically: how many times a listing is viewed, and basic technical logs needed to run and secure the site.
2. How we use it
To run the service: show listings, let people chat, review listings for safety, email you about unread messages, and keep the site safe from scams and abuse. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
3. What other people see
Public: your name, photo, and your listings and reviews (agents also have a public page). Your email is never shown.
Private: your phone number is shared only with a person you accept in a chat. Messages are visible to you, the other person and, if a report is made, our moderation team.
4. Who helps us
We use trusted providers to run the service: Supabase (database, sign-in, file storage), Google (sign-in and place search), Resend (email) and our hosting provider. They process data only to provide their service. Some of them store data outside Tanzania.
5. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember your language. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. Removed listings may be kept briefly for safety and dispute handling. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, listings, photos, chats and saved homes.
7. Your rights
You can see and correct your details in Settings, and delete your account there at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of your data or to restrict how we use it. Contact us and we will respond promptly.
8. Security
Access is protected by sign-in and database rules so people can only see what they should. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong Google password and tell us if you notice anything wrong.
9. Children
TZPropertyHub is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
